A five minute segment of the film was screened to a packed room at The Third International Conference on the Iranian Diaspora held April 28th, 2007. The segment generated extensive discussion and interest. In November 2006 a short segment of CAUGHT BETWEEN TWO WORLDS was screened at the New Jersey Noor Va Danesh Iranian Association.

Most Iranians are conservative,Republicans. They don't even support the Democrats let alone the Green Party. But I didn't look like the typical Green Party that they imagined. I looked like them, a professional woman, and talked about the real issues. That's how I could get their votes.

I'm used to it (the veil) now. The first year when we came here it was harder for me. I was the only one. Now I'm used to it. I see a lot of Moslems wearing it. It's the belief that's important. It doesn't matter to me if my friend wears it or not.

I came with the intention of returning, The reasons why we don’t have writers or filmmakers or artists who make work about exile, is because we lead a different life than the exiled do. We have doctors, plumbers, lawyers, store owners, all the occupations that respond to the needs of a society. As a result we are not in touch with the greater American society.

I want to go back to Iran, I'm tired of it here. Because we're living in a country of thugs here or there, what's the difference? I won't be missed here, back home I am missed.
